So a few weekends ago we went on a Butler family vacation to a cabin in Island Park. It was so much fun! I've heard the crazy stories that take place during Butler gatherings, so I was excited to see how this vacation took place. We had theme nights for every night we were there. The first theme was Hawaiian Luau. We had BR's amazing food and then we learned the Hawaiian luau dance from Grandpa Gary (he must have come straight from the Big Island with his dancing skills), after that we did the limbo. And the winner is......make way TC, looks like I'm the new family champ! Sorry girly, maybe next time around!
The second night was game night and we had burritos and played bunko. I have never played bunko before but it was a blast! The next night was Vampire night. They had spaghetti and meat balls and made monster faces on balloons and on their own faces. Unfortunately we got delayed in Yellow Stone Park seeing so many animals including THREE bear!
But when we finally got home alot of the family had left. Apparently some of the kids took the rhino for an adventure and it took a little tumble. Poor Aubrie got her arm stuck under the roll bar and broke it in two places! We've gotten updates and Aubrie seems to be doing a lot better than everyone imagined, so that's great news! If that's not a great way to end a vacation it gets better. A few people were just getting over the flu when we all arrived at the cabin and by the last day of the trip at least 6 of us had come down with it too! So driving home in the Campbell car Sherry, Zac and I were all so sick. Poor Gordy had to make a few stops for us sick people.
All in all it was a great trip and so much fun! Even though it didn't end as well as we all thought it would, what great memories we will have!
