Baby Showers and Update

We have gotten so lucky with everything that we have recieved at all of our baby showers so far. We have THE best family and friends. It's amazing how much stuff our baby has already...I think she has more clothes than I do! The first shower we had was the Olson family shower thrown by my cousin's Keisha and Shannon, and it was a ton of fun! I can't believe how many girls we have on this side of the family. Jeila's house was so FULL! We had amazing food, a funny game, and wonderful gifts. Our families are all getting older so we only see eachother on major holidays or weddings so it was great to be able to catch up with everyone! Our second shower was thrown by my sisters and it involved friends of our family. This shower was SO much fun! We spent most of the night reminicing about old times. This is the group where no matter how much time passes from the last time you see eachother, you just pick up like old times and talk forever about anything! Again we got too many gifts and already this baby is so spoiled.

The next shower I had was with highschool friends. Like the last shower, we all just talked about how much fun we had together in school. Cheer, teachers, school dances, Kelli breaking her legs :), just everything! The next week we had the Campbell shower and that was a lot of fun! We ate great food and visited with everyone. Once again we got a ton of cute things and she is going to have SO many clothes! Next on the list is the ward shower and the Butler shower. I can't imagine what else we will get at these showers but hey, I can't get enough of the baby gear. It's all so darling! Thank you for everyone who was able to make it to the showers! I can't thank you enough for all of the sweet gifts and advice given for our baby girl! We love you!

Update: I will be 38 weeks this Saturday. 2 weeks to go and I haven't dialated, not even a little. I am about 75% thinned so hopefully something will happen soon. I used to only get the braxton hicks contractions at night, but I've been getting them more and more during the day so that's a good thing! I go in again on Tuesday so keep your fingers crossed! I am really excited for our baby to get here and I'm excited to see what our labor story will be! After I think of how ready I am for her to be here I can't help but think how much I am going to miss her being in my belly! I love feeling her move around every day and get the hiccups. Even though it kills when she kicks me in the ribs and won't move away, I am going to miss it! Being pregnant has been such an amazing experience! I hope every woman who wants to be a mother will be able to experience being pregnant because it is truly indescribable. What an amazing blessing it is as a woman to carry a child. And even though I've been very nervous all of these months to know what a responsibility it is to be a parent, I am excited and I feel ready to be a mom! It's weird to think that Zac and I are going to parents! We still feel like kids ourselves! But I can't wait for Zac to be a dad and I couldn't have asked for a better companion to start a family with. He is so cute with her already when he rubs my belly like I'm Buddha, talks to her, and sometimes he'll even bust out a song for her! It's pretty funny! Anyway, her room is all ready and I think we have everything we need so these next two weeks, or maybe sooner :), will just be a waiting game!

Sounds like you are getting everything that you need. I want to see pictures of the room! I have my doctors appointment on Tuesday too so I will be thinking of you and hoping we both have dilated. Although if you have your baby before me I am not sure that I will be able to handle it :) just kidding. Keep us posted!

That was such a fun shower P! I'm sorry that Zoe was so fussy and I was so frazzled that day. We should all get together and do lunch sometime soon! And I'm so excited for little Brynlie (is that how you're speling it?) to be born. You're going to have so much fun being a mom!
